Empire of Muscovy Russia

 Empire of Muscovy Russia

Muscovite Rus or the Great Moscow Principality was a Russian empire that existed in the Middle Ages from 1283 to 1547, the center of which was the city of Moscow.

The Great Moscow Principality written in Russian documents was also called Moscow or Muscovy Russia in Western documents.

Muscovy Russia, or Great Moscow Rajvada, was the successor state of the Moscow Rajvada, which later became the forerunner state of the Russian Empire.

Origin of the empire

When the Mongols invaded the territories of Kievan Rus, Moscow was a little-known trading post of the Vladimir Suzdal Rajvada.

Although the Mongols destroyed Moscow by fire in the winter of 1238 and plundered it in 1293, due to its remoteness and location in the middle of forests, it had some protection from Mongol attacks and looting.

The ambitious and fortunate princes who ruled it also had a big hand in the development of the Moscow Rajwara.

The first ruler of Moscow Rajvade was Daniyal I (died: 1303) who was the youngest son of Alexander Nevsky, the ruler of Suzdal Rajvade.
